Indian officials are backing theme park plans for Goa.

Plans to develop eye-catching theme parks in Goa are gathering pace.

Tourism minister Dilip Parulekar has said that the government would be behind plans to build the parks and added that Goa can also expect investment for marinas and golf courses.

He outlined that the tourism plan for the state will be split into five sectors, with proposals for cultural and adventure attractions under consideration, reports the Times of India.

At the moment the main draw in Goa is the area’s beautiful costal areas.

Calangute is the most popular beach in the state and filled with sun loungers for tourists who are looking to take advantage of the resort’s tropical climate. The stretch of sand leads into Baga beach which is a little less developed than is neighbour, but equally beautiful.

Baga is well known for its action away from the coast and is home to the legendary Club Tito and Cafe Mambo
