Lorna Cordeiro and Konkani Rocks will headline this year’s Rain or Shine Festival

Tourism chiefs in Goa have announced the details of this year’s Rain or Shine Festival.

The state is one of the most popular destinations in the whole of the Indian subcontinent for people seeking a memorable holiday experience, as it has a  range of attractions that complement its beach-side culture well and the Festival is one of the star events.

It will be held on August 19th at the Heritage Jazz Street in the Campal region.

Headliners include Lorna Cordeiro – known as Goa’s Nightingale due to her graceful voice – and the eight-member strong brass band Konkani Rocks, who will be joined by a selection of Goa’s finest singing talent.

This year’s Festival will not only feature the best in Goan music, but there will also be dance, art, cinema and food on offer – making it a perfect opportunity for visitors to sample a wide range of the local culture.
