Bollywood blockbuster hits the silver screens

Ek Tha Tiger is released across the world today.

One of the biggest Bollywood blockbusters of the year is set for global release today (August 15th) as the film industry goes from strength to strength.

It is a romantic thriller called Ek Tha Tiger – which, translated in to English means Once There Was a Tiger – and it brings together two of the India’s biggest stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif

Estimates predict around 100 million people will buy tickets to see it as the genre becomes more mainstream.

The Bollywood film industry is the largest in the world, surpassing that seen in Hollywood and it is a major reason many people want to experience the unique atmosphere that India offers.

Tourists who want to see behind the scenes of some of their favourite films and maybe catch a glimpse of the stars should head to Mumbai as this is the epicentre of Bollywood and is one of the best places to experience Indian life.
