Eco-tourism and adventure sports are lined up for Goa tourists.

A raft of new tourist attractions have been proposed in the Goa region.

Goa is already one of the most popular holiday destinations in the whole of India due to its idyllic climate and picturesque beaches, but authorities want to ensure that there is even more for visitors to do during their stay.

The Goa tourism development corporation has drawn up plans that will see it develop three vacant properties into lively tourism destinations, reports the Times of India.

Around 5,300 sq m of land near Vagator beach could be transformed with the construction of a viewing tower that will allow tourists to see far into the jungles on one side and the Arabian Sea on the other.

Adventure sport attractions and landscaped gardens are also earmarked for the site, while the historic Tambdi Sural and the Selaulim dam will be transformed into eco-tourism attractions.
