Shopping Extravaganza Awaits Tourists on Kerala Bound Flights

Kerala is all set to host 6th edition of Grand Shopping Festival from December 1st 2012 to January 15th 2013. Indian state’s signature retail festival will offer an array of discounts, prizes and entertainment to those on flights to India.

Tourists planning to hop on flights to India in the month of December are certainly up for a good time as God’s own country, Kerala is all set to host the sixth edition of the Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF). The event will be held from December 1 2012 to January 15 2013.

Organizers are trying to place GSKF at par with some of the world’s most famous retail fiestas held in Dubai, Singapore and Malaysia, revealed online sources.

Authorities believe the 6th version of GKSF will be bigger and better than the previous years and will help to enhance the brand value of the southern Indian state as “Shopping Tourism” hub for those taking flights to South India.

Over 10,000 merchant establishments are expected to participate in the event, this year.

The 6th edition of the event is likely to focus mainly on local products and handicrafts. Authorities have already revealed the details of the raffle campaign that will be held during the GKSF, 2012. The raffle will offer a chance to the travellers taking flights to India and landing in the state to win gold and other prize items.
