Phuket set to host the International Soccer 7s

Football fans who are heading to Phuket could enjoy visiting the Soccer 7s tournament.

People on flights to Phuket next month who enjoy football could like paying a visit to this year’s International Soccer 7s event.

It will take place on November 26th and 27th this year, with teams coming from around the world to compete in the event, which will see a series of 15 minute matches held.

Played with traditional football rules, with the exception of no offside rules and no substitutions, teams will compete against each other in three categories, with the winners and runners up in the cup, plate and bowl groups each taking home a trophy.

Around 80 teams from 18 different countries will be taking on the challenge, with everyone coming together of an evening to head out to enjoy the vibrant nightlife which is on offer in the Thai city.

Those who take flights to Phuket could find that the airport has better links to the city in the future as a new bus service linking the two has been announced.
