Phuket is getting a reputation as being a good place for people who enjoy new and unusual comedy to seek out new talent.

Phuket is quickly getting a strong reputation as a place to see new and interesting comedy and the arrival of one of its most popular comedy nights at the end of the month is sure to cement this reputation.

The Phuket Punchline Comedy Club is set to host a Whose Line is it Anyway? show on February 29th and some of the comedians taking part spoke to the Phuket Gazette to explain their own individual comedy styles.

Stephen Frost and Steve Steen told the newspaper that they are both looking forward to playing in the city.

Frost said he had been to Bangkok before but was looking forward to his first trip to Phuket.

“I love coming to Thailand. The variety of food is incredible, the atmosphere and of course the people,” he told the newspaper.

For those who prefer dance music to comedy, the Absolut Mange House Festival is set to take place in Phuket between March 7th and 9th, with DJ Two Good Souls to perform due to popular demand.
