Bangkok hosting Rubiks Speedcubing event

Visitors to Bangkok will have the interesting sight of the people who can complete Rubik’s Cubes in the fastest times.

People on cheap flights to Bangkok who are on the look out for something unusual to do during their stay can play a visit to the Rubik’s Speedcubing championships.

Competitors have travelled from across the world to take part in the event, which will see the current world champion Breandan Vallance coming from the UK to defend his title.

Last year, Mr Vallance managed to win the contest by completing the cube in 10.34 seconds.

The event began on October 14th and will run to 16th, when the fastest competitor will be crowned as this year’s champion.

As well as the overall prize, awards will also be given out to mark the best oldest and youngest competitors.

Those on cheap flights to Bangkok who are more interested in eating than watch the contest could be pleased to hear that earlier this month the city was named the best place to eat in Asia by Trip Advisor.
