Cape Town is set to offer a film extravaganza this Halloween with a series of films.
Travellers on flights to Cape Town who are concerned about missing out on Halloween fun this year could be pleased to hear the city is playing host to a film festival.
Horror Fest will see a range of films showcased, from the vintage classic through to the first screenings of some of this year’s Hollywood spine tinglers.
Beginning on October 26th, the festival begins with the Bloody Parchment Literary Chapter authors event, with local writers offering their own works and guests invited to dress up in costumes, with prizes awarded to the best.
Films will then be shown each day to November 4th, with a highlight of the week sure to be a screening of the classic Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, which is being accompanied by a live soundtrack performed by the Makabra Ensemble.
Travellers on flights to Cape Town who do not like scary films could instead delight in some of the colourful and inspiring street murals which are being painted across the city.
