Cape Town is a great place to take to the water, with a new series of tours now being offered.
Travellers on flights to Cape Town can now experience the city in a different way, after it was announced that water tours are now being held.
The city has many waterways and is a port, which means seeing it from the water is a great experience, according to Claus Tworeck, chief executive officer of City Sightseeing Cape Town.
He explained to Independent Online that it makes sense for both travellers and locals alike to have the opportunity to see the streets of Cape Town from this angle.
“The City Sightseeing canal cruise offers the opportunity to learn about the significance of this canal in once again joining the central business district to our harbour,” Mr Tworeck said.
He added that Cape Town was once known as the Tavern of the Seas, as ships stopped there to pick up fresh supplies.
Some people could be planning to take flights to Cape Town after TV presenter Gloria Hunniford recently offered her praise of the city after recently spending time there.
