The vast array of fantastic events which take place in Dubai have earned the emirate another great accolade.
People heading on flights to Dubai could be excited to hear that the vast number of fantastic events which take place in the emirate every day have helped to earn it the title of 2011 World Festival and Event City.
The International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA) bestowed the honour on Dubai for being the best location for events in the Middle East.
“Dubai has burst on to the global scene as perhaps one of the most happening cities in the world with its ambitious projects and unique events,” the IFEA said in a statement.
It noted some of the world-class events Dubai has held, such as the Dubai Shopping Festival and the Dubai International Film Festival, as helping it to win the accolade.
Even more people could be planning to take flights to Dubai soon to start a cruise after the city announced it was to expand its port to house even more cruise vessels.
