Travellers heading to Abu Dhabi could be planning to pay a visit to the races as the emirate’s season is set to begin.
Travellers on flights to Abu Dhabi will soon have the option of heading to the races during their stay as the season is about to open.
The Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club will open its 2011-2012 season on Sunday October 30th 2011 with its first meeting.
A six-race card will kick-off proceedings, with a highlight of the day set to be the female riders who are taking part in the featured Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies’ IFAHR Cup.
“That is the final race, following a top quality Prestige Stakes for the Purebred Arabians, with several genuine Group 1 runners in it,” commented Pat Buckley, clerk of the course and racing secretary.
There is also a range of other entertainment to be held on the day, which is sure to delight the race-going crowd.
Other sporting events planned for people taking flights to Abu Dhabi in the coming months include the Mubadala World Tennis Championships, which is taking place in December.
