Qantas is to increase the number of flights it operates between the two cities.

Holidaymakers taking cheap flights to Australia will be able to travel more often between Sydney and Perth, after Qantas announced it will add six weekly services on its route between the two cities.Ian Gay, Qantas regional general manager for Western Australia, said the decision to boost the number of flights it operates from 48 to 54 per week has been driven by a growing demand from consumers.

“These additional services will enable growth on the Perth to Sydney route and is a sign of improving passenger demand in this market. These additional services will see a greater service offering for our customers,” he added.

Among the new additions will be flights departing at 7:05 Monday to Saturday and 3:10 from Sunday to Friday (local time).

Those taking cheap flights to Australia can enjoy the Ashes Down Under series between November and January, with matches taking place in cities such as Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne.
