Anyone arriving on flights to Sydney at the beginning of August could choose to take in a Swiss Food Festival.

People who have booked flights to Sydney for the start of August may be interested in attending the Swiss Food Festival at the Swissotel in the city. For two weeks starting on July 31st, the hotel will be offering cuisine inspired by the Swiss region of Romansch at its restaurant.

The menu has been put together by executive chef Justin Zammit and features a host of authentic Swiss dishes.

Venison stew, sauerkraut and potato dumplings and Swiss cheese fondue are among the delicacies on offer.

For those with a sweet tooth, a Lindt chocolate fountain is one of the options for dessert.

Sydney often holds festivals where food and drink are high on the agenda.

Venues around the city regularly hold wine tasting evenings, while the event A Platform to Taste Vivid Sydney – which runs until June 21st – gives visitors a chance to sample a “colourful feast”, as well as two specially-designed cocktails.
