Qantas has announced the introduction of a new frequent flyer rewards scheme.

People who regularly take flights to Australia and other locations with Qantas will soon be able to benefit from a new frequent flyer programme.

The airline has revealed it will be bringing in a new Platinum One pass which will only be offered to its most loyal customers.

Qantas frequent flyer chief executive officer Simon Hickey explained that they had decided to bring in this additional tier to its rewards programme after consulting with its existing Platinum club members.

“Platinum One will offer members access to an outstanding range of benefits as well the exceptional service delivered by a dedicated Platinum One Special Service team,” Mr Hickey explained.

Benefits will include a dedicated customer service phone number and personalised gifts and experiences, which may include tickets to Qantas sponsored events.

People who take flights to Australia later this month could sample some of the best food the country has to offer by visiting the 100 Mile Challenge cookery event in Sydney.
