Pop up markets are a big hit for shoppers in Melbourne looking for something different.
People on flights to Melbourne who are looking for an interesting shopping experience could be attracted to visit one of the city’s new pop up markets.
Following on with the trend for shops and other establishments which open for a short space of time, the city is now set to offer whole markets which showcase the works of local designers and artists.
During the summer months, markets will spring up in a variety of locations, each with their own particular theme.
Visitors can expect to find everything from works of art and handmade crafts, through to delicious baked products.
The first market will open its doors on November 5th 2011 in the Prahran district of the city, with more to follow in the run up to Christmas.
Some people taking flights to Melbourne could be interested in visiting the city’s university, after it was recently named by the Times Higher Education study as being the best in Australia.
