Air India has announced the launch of three key routes namely Milan, Rome and Moscow. It is going to deploy a B787 Dreamliner for the routes, offering added options, flexible choices and highly enjoyable experience to fliers who book flight tickets with the carrier.
Air India (AI), the national carrier of India is planning to start new flights to major international destinations namely Milan, Rome and Moscow from Delhi in order to gain market share and provide its unparalleled services to fliers seeking tickets on these routes.
The airline is going to deploy fuel-efficient Boeing 787 Dreamliner on these routes. It is an extremely advanced aircraft that boasts composite materials, newly-developed engine and advance avionics. Passengers investing on flights tickets can take advantage of highly ergonomic seats, extra leg rooms and other features. Schedules of the new services have not been revealed yet.
“Our team is already in Moscow to take the mandatory approvals for the first flight between Delhi-Moscow. The approvals are expected shortly and services will start immediately afterwards,” said a senior Air India official at Press Conference in New Delhi.
These services will start with the 747s due to climatic conditions, it will soon be shifted to 787s as more of these aircraft are expected to join the fleet in the coming months, he further added.
AI flights service to Milan and Rome are scheduled to commence during June-July period. The carrier is also mulling over reopening of its Nairobi route.
Air India’s started offering air tickets for B787 deployed flights to open new flights route to UK and Australia. It is now planning to enhance its network across other destinations in Europe and one in Africa.
Looking at Air India’s major expansion plan, it is expected that the carrier is going to attract a major share of traffic. Its seamless network would be favourable for not only Indian travellers, but also for Britons, Africans and other Europeans who look for tickets on direct as well as connecting flights.
