India’s Jet Airways has started new flights from Mumbai to Paris. The private carrier’s direct flight service to Paris Charles de Gaulle will provide passengers a better connectivity and seamless travel to Europe via the French capital.
Jet Airways, one of India’s largest international carriers, has recently launched flights from Mumbai to Paris. As per the press release of the airline, it will be a four-in-a-week service and will be operated using a state-of-the-art Airbus A330. Flights will be run on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. With effect from June 26, 2014, more flights will also be added, offering even more opportunity to fliers to buy tickets on the route.
For the inaugural flight, Jet Airways flight 9W 124 duly took off from Terminal T2 at the Chattrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai at 1200 hours and landed at Paris Charles De Gaulle airport on at 1750 hours (local time). Premiere and Economy Class tickets are being offered on the new service.
Jet Airways has also made it public that it has expanded its code share partnership with Air France, the French flag carrier and one of Europe’s prominent airlines. This allows the Indian carrier to offer its guests an access to unrivaled network connectivity between Europe and India via Paris. The enhanced code share partnership between the two operators will result in both carriers placing their marketing codes on each other’s flights on the Mumbai-Paris trunk sector. It means more flexibility and options for fliers seeking air tickets for the route. Flight tickets under this code share are already open for sale for travel effective 25th May 2014.
The arrangement will allow passengers to book tickets to several major cities across Europe via Air France’s hub in Paris. Similarly, patrons of Air France will be able to take leverage of Jet Airways’ domestic network in India and buy tickets to cities like Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata beyond Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru.
