Cape Town is becoming an important hub for art enthusiasts

Cape Town has long been a favourite of tourists looking to see the beauty of the South African landscape.

The white sands of Camps Bay and the majesty of Table Mountain will provide a memorable holiday for many, but the spectacular scenery is not all Cape Town has to offer to the modern tourist.

One&Only Cape Town is aiming to capitalise on the growing number of people who are travelling to the destination to explore the design ideas and cultural assets of South Africa.

The city has been named as World Design Capital 2014 and the luxury hotel resort will run half and full-day trips taking guests on private tours to showcase the regional talents of Irma Stern, William Kentridge and Sam Nhlengethwa, reports Breaking Travel News.

A visit to Worldart, the place where cutting-edge designs by local contemporary artists are on display may also appeal to art lovers travelling to Cape Town.
