Visitors to Maharashtra will get free access to the Karla Resort Water Park to celebrate World Tourism Day.

The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has decided the state will celebrate World Tourism Day on September 27th in its own unique and grand way.

Anyone lucky enough to be in Maharashtra on the day will be able to visit the Karla Resort Water Park totally free of charge.

In addition, guests visiting MTDC resorts on World Tourism Day in Maharashtra will be given special souvenirs and gift hampers that will provide a fitting memento of the state.

Dr Jagdish Patil, managing director of the authority, said the group was “proud to be a part of the World Tourism Day festivities” and its celebrations were hoping to capture the right spirit of the event and the “essence” of the global occasion.

Running alongside the new activities will be the existing photography and videography competition for tourism enthusiasts and photographers. People have been asked to take the perfect shots of the state in the hope of winning a cash prize.
