The Buddh International Circuit is a real highlight of the F1 season, a former driver has said.
People booking flights to Delhi to see this year’s Indian grand prix can expect to see one of the sport’s best races.
It is only the second time the Formula One teams have come to the Buddh International Circuit, but it has already established itself as a firm favourite, according to Jaime Alguersuari.
The former driver told the BBC that the combination of high speed, fast chicanes and numerous overtaking opportunities meant that the Indian action is “just amazing”.
He said that one corner in particular, which is actually listed as Turns 10 and 11, is a real highlight for the drivers.
“It’s just fantastic to go through there and feel like the corner is never ending. It’s high speed, in fifth gear and it’s never easy for the outside front tyre,” explained Alguersuari.
The F1 racing starts tomorrow (October 26th) when the drivers begin the first practice session with the grand prix beginning on Sunday.
