Domestic and international tourists planning to book tickets on flights to Mumbai, India have another option as far as their accommodation is concerned as budget brand Ginger opens up a property in the city.
Business and leisure vacationers purchasing air tickets on flights to Mumbai India have another fine address to consider for their stay in Mumbai as Ginger Hotels inaugurated their first property in the country’s financial capital. The budget brand from the Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) opened its 26th property in the country, few days back.
It was inaugurated by Raymond Bickson, MD and CEO, IHCL. The 116-room estate will primarily cater to business travellers buying tickets on flights bound to India’s Mumbai, suggested online reports.
Mr Bickson said: “The Indian hospitality sector offers an immense growth potential for comfortable and hygienic accommodation at affordable pricing. We are proud that Ginger Hotels has successfully set a high benchmark in the limited service hotel segment in India.”
Though the brand is mostly associated with budget travellers who take cheap flights tickets for the destination, this specific address of the brand will cater to mid-level visitors, both domestic and foreigners purchasing flights tickets.
A top official at Roots Corporation was quoted in media reports as saying, “This is the only property in our portfolio with such kind of pricing. We had to consider the cost of the property before arriving at such prices.”
The hospitality chain is on expansion spree with plans to establish properties throughout India. It hopes to add around 50 more properties over the next few years in various cities for domestic and foreign travellers taking tickets on India bound flights.
