There have been some major improvements in Delhi since the beginning of the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

It has been two years since the Commonwealth Games were hosted by Delhi and officials in the city believe that much has changed for the better since then.

Manish Chatrath, chairman of the Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation, told the Hindustan Times that changes had occurred on a cultural and infrastructural level.

He pointed out that Delhi Airport’s Terminal 3 was now one of the finest in the world, while the road network has been substantially upgraded.

Also, the people of the city were now much more patient with tourists and willing to extend them their warm hospitality.

With such shifts, it is hardly surprising that Mr Chatrath said there had been a substantial increase in the number of people visiting the city since 2010.

In addition, those booking flights to Delhi for the future will find a thoroughly modern city that is now a cultural hub and has a busy year-round social calendar, he added.
