Ali Campbell has confirmed a special gig at a Sharm El Sheikh resort this Easter.

Music lovers have an extra reason to book flights to Egypt this spring, as UB40’s lead singer Ali Campbell has announced a special Easter gig in the Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh.

The frontman will appear with a full live band at Soho Square on April 23rd. Popular numbers that visitors to Egypt can expect include I Got You Babe, Can’t Help Falling In Love and Red, Red Wine.

Ali Campbell has sold over 70 million albums worldwide and had over 40 UK hit singles with UB40, before going solo three years ago.

His solo albums have enjoyed a positive reception, reaching the top 15 of the UK album charts.

This special performance will provide a boost to Egypt’s travel industry, which is predicted to return to normal over the coming months, a travel expert has claimed.

Arthur Frommer, founder of the Frommer’s Travel Guide book series, said: “Egypt will bounce back relatively quickly, helped by the fact that the popular Red Sea resorts remain largely unaffected.”

Soho Square is a popular destination for Brits on flights to Egypt, with its wide range of restaurants and bars, as well as entertainment venues.
