Dubai is one of the most popular travel destinations in the UAE. The city is best known for its excellent architecture, luxury shopping and fantastic nightlife. The Aquaventure Waterpark, part of Atlantis, The Palm hotel, is the biggest water park in the Middle East. Spread over an impressive 42 acres, the water park has something for everybody – spectacular water slides, river rides, snorkelling, shark safari, dolphin and sea lion adventures for the adventure seekers; a long private beach for the lazy bones who just want to relax; and the Splashers Play Area featuring mini slides, climbing frames and several water games for kids. There is also a gigantic underwater aquarium for nature lovers who just want to marvel at the amazing sea creatures.
The water park is divided into five main areas – dolphin bay, sea lion point, aquaventure waterpark, the lost chambers aquarium, and the diving and snorkelling area.
Dolphin Bay
The Dolphin Bay offers visitors an unforgettable experience of seeing, touching, hugging, swimming, diving, playing, belly-riding and interacting with dolphins. Visitors can also get pictures clicked with these enigmatic creatures.
Sea Lion Point
Situated on the eastern side of Dolphin Bay, the Sea Lion Point is a specially designed lagoon that offers visitors an insight into the amazing lives of the playful and social sea lions. Visitors can enjoy the chance of making friends with these wonderful creatures, cuddle and kiss them and get photographed with them.
Aquaventure Water Park
This is the main area of the water park with all the thrilling rides, splashing slides, mysterious tunnels, fantastic water coasters and all other breathtaking activities. The tower of Neptune is a thrilling experience with its dark tunnels catapulting travellers into the Shark Lagoon. For an ultimate daredevil experience, one can try the Leap of Faith, which is a 9 story, near-vertical mega-slide pushing down daredevils at a huge speed. The Tower of Poseidon is home to the world’s largest water slide Aquaconda. Visitors can also experience weightlessness with Zoomerango, enjoy the journey through the park’s interconnecting waterways and many more exhilarating escapades. Travellers also get to hand feed the amazing Cownose Rays and enjoy a shark safari. There is a dedicated area for children called the Splasher’s Children’s Play Area that has water cannons, slides and climbing frames.
There is a private beach spanning an area of around 700 metres, along with exclusive luxury private cabanas for travellers to relax and unwind. There are shops selling beach accessories and essentials like sunscreens, beach toys and mementoes. The place also has more than 15 restaurants and kiosks providing snacks and meals to visitors.
The Lost Chambers Aquarium
The aquarium showcases hourly tours and aqua theatre shows for increasing the knowledge of visitors about underwater flora and fauna and the ruins of the ancient lost city of the Atlantis.
Diving and Snorkelling Point
The point offers many diving experiences and courses for beginners, which include snorkelling and different types of aquarium dives.
