The Nation Towers in Abu Dhabi have unveiled the world’s highest link bridge.
The UAE destination city of Abu Dhabi has announced another record-breaking first, with the opening of the Nation Towers’ Skybridge, which is the highest of its kind in the world.
British travellers catching flights to Abu Dhabi can take advantage of this 202.5 metre-high bridge between the two towers and get great views of the Emirati city.
Daily newspaper Khaleej Times reports that the bridge was completed last weekend (April 10th), when a 400-tonne steel section was lifted into place, connecting the two towers at the 50th and 54th floors.
The completed Skybridge is 30 metres higher than the previous record holder, the Petronas Towers in Malaysia.
Abu Dhabi’s Nation Towers include residential developments, a 50-storey luxury hotel, office blocks and several shops.
Last week the UAE city announced another world first, after 22 sturgeons were delivered to the site of what will be the world’s largest caviar farm.
