People wanting to fly to Adelaide could soon choose Emirates.

The first Emirates flights in and out of Adelaide are only just over a month away and the Dubai carrier has revealed what it will bring to people thinking about heading to the Australian city.

An Emirates Boeing 777-300ER touched down in Adelaide yesterday ahead of the scheduled November 1st start.

More than 250 guests – including the deputy premier of South Australia John Rau – were hosted by Salem Obaidalla, Emirates’ senior vice-president and they witnessed the traditional water cannon salute, before walking on board to check out the first-class cabins.

“It is exciting to be here today as we look forward to the benefits that will flow from this launch, which includes publicising ‘destination Adelaide’ across our ever expanding network,” said Mr Obaidalla.

Adelaide is the fifth largest city in Australia and home to many great tourist attractions including, the Botanic Garden, the River Torrens Linear Park Trail and the Cleland Wildlife Park.
