Emirates airline has announced plans to increase flights to Dubai from Libya.The carrier is aiming to increase capacity on its Tripoli flights by 40 per cent from the start of next month by introducing three new flights – meaning a total of ten flights will now operate between the two countries.

Haitham Al Battawy, Emirates manager Libya, explained that there has been a growth in passengers on flights to Dubai from Tripoli in recent years and the new services will meet this demand.

“We have received numerous requests from both business and leisure travellers within Libya to increase services and we are delighted to be able to respond with these additional flights,” said Mr Al Battawy.

The new flights to Tripoli will depart from Dubai on Monday, Thursday and Saturday, while the return flights to Dubai will be every Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

Emirates recently announced plans to offer additional flights to Dubai from the Seychelles.
