People heading on a holiday to Thailand may wish to take the opportunity to stay in what has been named one of the best beach hotels in the world, according to a hotel review site.
The Sarojin Hotel was named one of the ten best beach resort hotels by trivago, based on a survey of more than 15 million traveller reviews.
“Whether travellers are looking for long walks or water activities, an artificial reef protects the private beach and guarantees perfect beach conditions throughout the year,” said the site.
Located on Khao-Lak, holidaymakers flying to Bangkok can take a domestic flight to the southern Thai region.
According to gokhaolak.com, the resort boasts long stretches of natural beaches framed by the national parks and mountains.
It is a more low-key destination than Phuket and benefits from smaller numbers of tourists, it added.
The region also contains 19 waterfalls and an elephant camp where visitors can get up close to the gentle giants.
