Travellers planning holidays to Bangkok may be interested in the plans for the luxury Hotel Okura.
People planning holidays to Thailand may be interested in the announcement that luxury Japanese hotelier Okura plans to open its first hotel in the Thai capital in 2012.
Plans of the Hotel Okura Bangkok reveal that it is 34 floors high, with 242 luxury guest rooms.
The hotel will also play host to restaurants serving food combining Thai and Japanese culinary styles with international cuisine.
Other facilities planned for the hotel include a spa, swimming pool and fitness suite.
Hotel Okura Bangkok will be situated in the city’s prestigious business and shopping district, with a direct link to the Ploen Chit Sky Train station.
Okura opened its first hotel in Tokyo in 1962 and is now an international hotel group with 23 member hotels worldwide.
