Holidaymakers looking for a little bit of glamour on their holiday to Thailand might want to head to the Samui Regatta in June.
People flying to Thailand between June 1st and 6th will be able to attend the Sawadee.com Regatta to witness five days of sailing and take part in the seven nights of partying on offer.
This year will be the eighth year of the event – which is one of Asia’s leading sailing events – says sailingnetworks.com, off the shores of Koh Samui.
Callum Laing, Chairman of the sailing event said: “The 2009 regatta will also provide great opportunities for individuals, families and groups to join one of the regatta spectator boats and see these races up close whilst enjoying the famous Thai hospitality.”
Koh Samui is the third largest of the Thai islands and is situated in the Surat Thani province, around 700 kilometres south of Bangkok in the Thai Gulf.
