Rezidor Hotel Group is set to open a number of new establishments in 2011, including one in South Africa.
The company is currently one of the world’s fastest growing chains and is set to open five Radisson Blu hotels and three Park Inns by Radisson hotels in Africa before the end of the year.
It is expected that the new resorts will be in Mozambique, Nigeria, Zambia, Ethiopia and South Africa and are response to growing demand.
“We see great potential to grow across Africa with business hotels and resorts and are working hard to add even more hotels in 2011 to our fast growing African portfolio,” explained Rezidor’s vice-president of business development for Africa and Indian Ocean Islands, Andrew McLachlan.
The Rezidor Hotel Group’s 144-room Radisson Hotel Blaauwberg in Cape Town, South Africa is also set to open by summer this year.
