Tourists can experience “the whole world in one country” on holidays to South Africa, a travel expert has claimed.
Holidays to South Africa can provide travellers with a wide range of experiences in one visit, an expert from a tour operator in the region has said.
Anton De Wit, reservations manager at Rhino Africa, commented that South Africa is a “diverse destination”.
“You can find Cape Town which is a bit like Barcelona. You can do a normal safari without malaria issues and next year we are hosting the World Cup. You can literally have the whole world in one country,” he said.
Mr De Wit added that booking flights to Cape Town would make it easy for a visitor to combine a safari trip with a beach holiday because the city has the Kruger National Park on its doorstep, as well as a number of picturesque seaside resorts.
Statistics published by South Africa Tourism earlier this month revealed that the number of British tourists visiting the country had increased by 6.8 per cent in August this year compared with the same month in 2008.
