McLaren will be hoping to have better luck in India, Martin Whitmarsh has said.

Martin Whitmarsh believes that the Indian Grand Prix will offer the perfect chance for McLaren to bounce back from their recent disappointments.

The team has seen both Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton struggle in Japan and Korea and now it is in third place in the Constructors’ Championship behind Red Bull and Ferrari.

According to the team principal, the poor results were simply due to some bad luck.

“I’m positive that, after two disappointing races, this next double-header will be a more profitable affair for Jenson, Lewis and the whole team,” he explained.

Hamilton is raring to go and believes the Buddh International Circuit has established itself as one of the best tracks on the Formula One calendar, calling it a “revelation”.

There is still time for fans to book flights to India to see the F1 action, with the first practice session getting underway on Friday (October 26th).
