More tourism destinations will be developed in Kerala.
Kerala is already one of the pioneers of the exciting new adventure tourism sector, but officials have confirmed that further destinations in the state will offer even more to visitors in the future.
Tourism minister A P Anil Kumar said the seventh edition of the Kerala Tourism Mart (KTM) will showcase these new destinations.
“Earlier it was south, north and central Kerala and now it’s specific places like in Ernakulam or Wayanad or Kasargode and we expect showcasing newer destinations in the KTM,” he added.
It is no surprise that the state is at the forefront of the adventure tourism industry, as its lush jungles and mountain streams are great places to explore.
Tourists in Kerala have the option of going boating, rafting, trekking and biking all across the stunning scenery, while the area is also home to a great number of rare and wonderful wildlife species – including the majestic tiger.
