Hosting the 5th Annual Kovalam Festival, Delhi and Kerala are all set to feast the minds of book lovers taking flights to the country.
The fifth edition of the Kovalam Literary Festival is going to take place in the national capital at India International Centre on October 3 and will move to Kerala’s capital Thiruvanathapuram at the Kanakakunnu Palace on October 6 and 7.
With an exhilarating flurry of reading sessions, discussions and presentations on literary and social subjects by eminent writers, it promises to be a wonderful affair for bibliophiles, who are already in India or are looking forward to catch flights to the country.
The Delhi leg will feature six sessions. Reading sessions and conversations by Monisha Rajesh (author of Around India in 80 Trains), Israeli writers Dorit Rabinyan and Sudeep Sen (an Indian poet) will be the major highlight for foreign tourists on flights to the city.
On the other hand, the event in the South Indian state will begin with the KC John memorial lecture by Dr Binayak Sen at 10 am. A number of presentations and conversations will exhilarate the keen readers travelling on flights to the verdant state. On October 7, it will conclude with an evening of musical performance by the much-acclaimed band, Indian Ocean and a one-man band from Israel, ‘Tal Kravitz’, at Nishagandhi Auditorium.
The cultural extravaganza of Delhi and sheer verdancy of Kerala are already hit among most tourists and remain the big reasons for high demand of flight tickets to the country. It is expected that the artistic affair will increase the demand for India bound flights by leaps and bounds.
