India Tourism and the MTDC will host a four-day celebration of Maharashtra.
India Tourism will host a new event that aims to highlight some of the cultural attractions that are on offer in Maharashtra.
People catching flights to Mumbai will probably be aware of Film City and the Gateway of India, but there is much more to see and do in the city and surrounding state.
The new initiative is created in conjunction with the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) and will be held at Phoenix Market City Mall in Kurla from October 4th to 7th.
Dr Jagdish Patil, managing director of MTDC, said: “We are providing stalls to national and local tour operators, local handicraft and handloom entrepreneurs who will also be [part of the celebration].”
As well as the local arts and crafts, the unique culinary flavours of the Maharashtrian state will also be pushed centre stage.
Other activities in the four-day celebration include the traditional and folk dance forms like Lavni, Dhangari Gaja, Povadas, Koli and Tamasha.
