Comic characters coming to Dubai

Some of the world’s best-loved comic heroes will be coming to Dubai when Marvel Adventure opens there next year.

IMG Group has signed a licence agreement with Marvel Entertainment, which owns the rights to characters such as Spider-Man, Iron Man and the Hulk, to develop a 350,000 square feet family amusement centre comprising retail outlets, dining facilities and a range of interactive entertainment experiences.

Construction is now underway on the indoor park, which will be one of the largest temperature-controlled entertainment destinations in the region when it opens.

Simon Philips, President of Marvel Entertainment International said: “Whether it’s having fun at one of the entertainment experiences, hanging out with friends and enjoying a meal or collecting the latest Marvel gadgets and action figures, there is truly something for everyone at Marvel Adventure.”

It is hoped that around 10,000 people a day will visit the attraction which is to be housed within a fully-enclosed 1.2 million square feet themed destination in the City of Arabia development.
