Dubai Summer Surprises is a festival that combines celebrations and shopping and it is the second largest event of its kind in the annual calendar, WhatsOnWhen reported.
“The pull is irresistible; over seven million shoppers flash their cash at this event. Live shows, activities, competitions and courses keep the whole family happy while the shopaholics shop,” wrote the site.
During the event, the vast array of malls in Dubai offer large discounts off their goods to entice people into the spending mood.
Coinciding with the shopping festival, children on holiday in Dubai can be entertained and put to the test in the Kids Olympic Games – which in 2008 included a baby crawling contest, a tricycle race for three to five-year-olds and a car race for eight to nine-year-olds.
