Global Blue has found Bangkok to be the seventh best shopping city in the Asia Pacific region.

Bangkok has been named as the seventh best shopping city in the Asia Pacific region in a new poll.

The report from Global Blue ranked the Thai capital a few points behind Sydney and ahead of Toyko in a list topped by Hong Kong.

Anyone booking flights to Bangkok can certainly expect to pick up a bargain.

The city’s good performance was mainly due to its great performance in the Affordability category.

Bangkok ranked the highest when it came to the low price of two and four-star hotels, while it also picked up valuable points for its plethora of reasonably priced restaurants and bars. The fact that the metropolis’ shops have both a good stock of international brands and long sales seasons was also a positive.

The report assessed 25 cities across the whole of the Asia Pacific region and adds to a similar list of European cities that has previously been compiled by Global Blue.
