Australia could offer a number of interesting and alternative attractions for those taking cheap flights to Queensland and other regions down-under.According to the Guardian, the Queensland’s picturesque seaside Town of 177 is widely regarded as the new Byron Bay and visitors to the region should allow time to see the sunset from the well-located Tree restaurant. It is also close to the popular Agnes Water, which is a popular tourist resort with a stunning coastline.

Camping is also a great way to discover Australia’s real gems; although visitors should make sure they have the correct permit two weeks before setting off on the Great Ocean Walk in Victoria. There are a total of six eco campsites for backpackers walking the full distance from Apollo Bay to the 12 Apostles.

The 12 Apostles are giant rock formations, just off the coast, that were created by a combination of waves and rock erosion. They stand up to 45 metres high and are the major feature of the Port Campbell national park.

The newspaper also recommends that any surfing fans should head to towards Perth and the Margaret River surfing reserve to catch some unique waves. Diving fans should also consider a special pass that allows them up to 183 days per year to explore the region’s rugged coastline.
