People booking holidays to Thailand may want to take part in an escorted tour during their trip.
An escorted tour that takes in some of Thailand’s most famous sites has been picked as one of the best in the world by a travel journalist.
The trip visits some of the most remote and unspoilt temples in northern Thailand, as well as offering tourists a chance to see elephants and lounge on beaches.
Writing in the Daily Mail, Marjorie Yue described the A Land of Smiles tour as “fascinating”.
She said: “This 17-day tour gives a real taste of this beautiful country.”
Guides take travellers to meet hill tribes in the Golden Triangle, a region that includes northern Thailand, eastern Burma and western Laos, in addition to crossing the Bridge over the River Kwai and watching the elephant trainers at work in the Chiang Dao Elephant Training Centre.
Tourists get an opportunity to unwind before their return journey as the trip finishes with a four-night stay in the beach resort of Krabi, situated on Thailand’s west coast.
