Travellers booking flights to Thailand may be interested in some tips on how to make their money go further.
Tourists planning holidays to Thailand can enjoy an “inexpensive” break, according to one travel industry expert.
The International Currency Exchange (ICE) has offered some hints on how holidaymakers can stretch their budget even further on a trip to the Asian country.
According to the ICE, tourists can easily manage on 500 to 600 Thai baht (£9 to £11) per day, with the exchange rate currently sitting at approximately 53 baht to the pound.
Head of marketing for the company Andrew Hamilton suggested that travellers take enough local currency with them to pay for day to day expenses.
Mr Hamilton cautioned travellers against taking large amounts of cash with them. He said: “For bigger costs, consider taking a pre-paid card. As it is pin-protected, it offers holidaymakers better protection in case of theft and means travellers can avoid carrying around too much cash.”
He also advised buying currency online before travelling in order to take advantage of the most competitive rates.
Travellers in the region may also be interested to learn that there are always festivals and events taking place in the country. At the end of November, tourists may want to take part in the 21st Monkey Party at Phra Prang Sam Yod or enjoy the spectacles of the River Kwai Bridge Week.
