People arriving on flights to Thailand could find that the latest beach resort to open in Koh Samui could provide a relaxing break.
Global hotel chain Banyan Tree is preparing to open its new beach resort in Koh Samui.
The luxury resort is set to open in June and will comprise a series of one and two-bedroom pool villas, all with easy access to one of the island’s largest beaches.
Anyone who books flights to Thailand with the intention of staying at the new Banyan Tree resort will be able to take advantage of its other facilities such as the spa and its signature restaurant Saffron, which serves authentic Thai food.
Those who want to explore the rest of the island will find plenty to keep them occupied. Near Lamai Beach is an open-air market as well as an old monastery which also features a museum.
For daytrips, the neighbouring islands of Koh Tao and Koh Phangan are worth visiting. The latter is famous for its regular full-moon parties, which attract revellers from around the world.
