The Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO) believes that holidaymakers can easily shop around to ensure they get the best value for money.
“Holidays are not prohibitively expensive – you choose according to your budget, as has always been the case,” she added.
People looking for cheap flights to Thailand could benefit from the AITO advice which suggests booking with specialist firms that offer individual touches could help to make a holiday more enjoyable.
Meanwhile, Holidayextras.com is reminding holidaymakers travelling overseas to ensure they keep an eye on their passport at all times otherwise they could face unnecessary expense and trouble while aboard.
Andrea Clayton, head of partnerships and insurance at HolidayExtras.com, explained: “If you’re going to carry it around, you need to treat it as if it was something incredibly precious.”
