The wide choice of spas available to those taking flights to Thailand has been praised by the Wall Street Journal.
Firstly, the Spa Resorts Samui Beach in Koh Samui offers special three-day and week-long retreats that allow holidaymakers to detox and relax.
“Guests stay in Robinson Crusoe-like bungalows at the beach, and doctors are available on-site throughout the entire process,” explained Samantha Arnold, the regional vice president of Aroma Therapy Associates in Asia.
Other options include the Six Senses Sanctuary Phuket, where the menu is limited to pescatarian or raw options to help detox the body.

For those looking for a different dining choice, Chiva-Som in Hua Hin has two restaurants that serve special low-calorie versions of Thai and Western food including favourites such as coconut curry.
Meanwhile, Thailand’s Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa has won the Thailand Bartender Championship 2010.
