People booking flights to South Africa could be tempted to try a new wine tasting experience being launched this month.
Anyone who is travelling on flights to South Africa this summer may be tempted to travel into the Winelands to sample the delights at a new hotel.
The Delaire Lodges and Spa will open this month and it is offering visitors an alternative way to explore the vineyards in this part of the country.
Holidaymakers who decide to make the trip to the hotel will be able to spend a day on horseback travelling between various vineyards and sampling their different wines.
The trail goes through forests and over the Franschhoek Mountain Pass, stopping off at the Rickety Bridge Winery and the Mont Rochelle Vineyard along the way.
People who decide to stay at the hotel itself will find that it is fully equipped with a range of modern facilities.
These include a full-service spa, state-of-the-art gym and the hotel’s own restaurant that takes a Cape Dutch style.
A review of the estate in Harper’s Bazaar earlier this month described the new lodges as “pristine”, adding that they “reflect the ethos” of owner Lawrence Graff, of the Graff fine jewellery house.
