Anyone who has booked flights to Johannesburg may be interested in some tips about the best places to visit in the city.
People who have booked flights to Johannesburg should not be worried about its reputation, instead they should look forward to visiting this “fantastically fun metropolis”, it has been claimed.
Writing in the Times, Will Hide explained that the city has “an energetic vibe, a buzzing arts scene, heaps to see and do, friendly people, great restaurants, bars and clubs”.
He recommended a number of places to visit during a stay in the city, including the Apartheid Museum and Gold Reef City, which is a theme park that also allows tourists access to one of the city’s old goldmine shafts.
For thrill-seekers, Mr Hide suggested trying the bungee jump at the Orlando Cooling Towers. The disused power station is now home to the extreme sport and visitors can even opt to do a jump inside one of its towers.
These ideas of things to do could be useful to any football fans travelling to the World Cup this summer. Ten of the group stage matches are set to be played in Johannesburg this June.
