People on a flight from New Zealand may have shared the happy news that two of their fellow passengers had got engaged.
Travellers taking flights to New Zealand could be planning to stage an elaborate proposal to their partner after one couple became engaged during their trip.
The new Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was set to depart from Auckland International Airport when local Ryan Mason took the opportunity to ask his girlfriend Pia Parker to marry him in the airplane’s cockpit.
As the couple sat in the pilots seats Mr Mason popped the question, with the staff from the flight and around 100 passengers sharing in his excitement when Ms Parker said yes.
The news was announced via the Air New Zealand Twitter account, where users offered their messages of support to the happy couple, with some stating it is the best place ever for a proposal.
Some people planning to pop the question after taking flights to New Zealand could follow the advice of Charles Rawlings-Way, author of Lonely Planet’s New Zealand guidebook, to head out the see the country’s amazing remote beaches.
