According to the Daily Mail, Goa can offer a cheap getaway, as dinner for two, including wine, can cost as little as £10.

Additionally, the weather is “fabulous”, the newspaper states, and the location is easier to travel to than other sunny hotspots such as the Caribbean.

Enjoying the sand and sun couldn’t be better, it adds, as “the beaches are as clean as they have been for several decades following a local government clampdown”.

Booking a cheap flight to Goa also leads to travellers discovering the delights of India, which is “a fascinating country”.

Those planning cheap holidays in Goa received some further good news last week, as domestic carrier SpiceJet announced that there will be more flights between major Indian cities available over the coming months.
